Direction direction

We went to Murietta's Well yesterday and I wanted to share some driving tips. Please be aware that while heading on E-580, 4 lanes merge into 3 near Airway Blvd, so there is usually a back up/slow down. This is significant since traffic will often go from 75 to stop and go rather quickly. Because of traffic, from our house it can take up to 45 minutes to get there.

Also, when heading back on Vasco Road towards the freeway to return home, please note that BOTH E-580 (sacramento, los angeles) and W-580 (sf, oakland, hayward, berkeley) freeway entrances are on the RIGHT side.

We got hitched on TV! Well... channel 5 was there and included us in their segment for a few moments :) Check it out in their archives before it's gone!!

Many, many, thanks to our intrepid network of family and friends who spotted us!

Maps & Directions

Click on the links below to see the location of Murrieta's Well.

Google Maps

Microsoft Live Earth (Click on "Bird's Eye View" to see location.)

In case you don't want to make your own directions, here's a copy of what's on the inviation:

From 880, 238, or 680, take 580 East
From Hwy 5, take 580 West

Exit Vasco Road, use South Vasco Road
Head SOUTH on South Vasco Road ~ 8 minutes
Until T-Intersection
RIGHT TURN onto Tesla Road
Head WEST on Tesla Road ~ 5 minutes
LEFT TURN at light onto Mines Road
Head SOUTH on Mines Road ~ 2 minutes
RIGHT TURN onto dirt road to Murietta’s Well

Area will be very dark after nightfall. In other words, not a lot of lights until you get back on the main road. Please use care, as there is a narrow bridge involved in the entrance and exit of the winery.
